Mamas & Papas begin retail expansion

Baby and parent chain Mamas & Papas is set for an expansions across the UK, opening a number of stores in the process.

The firm will open a new store in Nottingham during the autumn, with a number of other shops set to open across the country in the near future.

The new opening will come as good news to wholesalers and suppliers to the chain who are likely to see a boost in orders.

Mark Wilson, managing director of the company, revealed that the move was fundamental to the continued growth of the brand.

He said: "The Nottingham store presents the continued roll out of two floor retail concept which Mamas & Papas have successfully launched in Milton Keynes, Preston, Orpington and Liverpool."

He added: "A Nottingham store has been long over due in our retail portfolio but it has been worth waiting for the right site and the Giltbrook Retail Park extension which is currently anchored by Ikea offers Mamas & Papas the opportunity to open what we believe will be a top quartile store and capitalise on strong like for like sales which the brand has been enjoying."
