Majority of internet users shop online
The vast majority of internet users shop online, new research has revealed.
According to a study by The Nielsen Company, around 85 per cent of all global web users have bought goods from the internet, IMRG reports.
The figures represent a 40 per cent increase in web shoppers over the last two years, with 875 million people now making purchases on the web.
The Nielsen research also revealed that South Korea was the country experiencing the most online shopping activity at the moment.
A massive 99 per cent of internet users in the country have made an online purchase, with 97 per cent of web surfers in the UK, Germany and Japan making purchases, paving the way for wholesalers to increase their hold on the internet shopping market place.
The research also revealed that almost half of global internet users made at least one purchase last month.
