Good online retail practice satisfies customers
Online retailers can attract more consumers to their e-stores by ensuring that they have good security measures in place, it has been claimed.
According to Experian, web shoppers are more attracted to internet businesses that had security practices similar to their rivals on the high street.
Helen Lord, fraud and regulatory compliance director at Experian, revealed that consumers were more likely to use online retailers that made them feel secure.
"When shopping online, customers…act in the same way they would when shopping on the high street; by keeping their personal details in a safe place and not allowing any suspicious individuals or organisations to have access to them," she said.
"Shopping online should be a safe and pleasant experience for everyone," Ms Lord added.
Meanwhile, according to an Apacs report, online credit fraud has increased by 25 per cent in the last year.
