Games Console wholesaler closed down

An online computer console wholesaler has been closed down following its failure to supply paying customers with the products they purchased.

Netwise Computing, a Lancashire-based company, was forced to cease trading following an investigation by the Insolvency Service (IS).

The IS found that the firm was not only failing to fulfil its supply promises, but quite possibly lacked stock completely.

In 2008, trading as Stridergold, the company sold consoles both to individuals and by the pallet load, but was found by the companies investigation branch of the IS to have breached its supply promises.

The High Court has since ordered the firm to be wound up, citing public interest as the predominant reason.

This news highlights the importance of businesses and consumers finding trustworthy wholesalers.

Initially, the company sold website hosting and domain names before converting to console sales.
