Business startups can benefit from relocating
New businesses can aid their success by relocating to find employees with suitable skills, according to an industry advisor.
Traditionally, startups tend to be local or within the region of the business owner but Hina Joshi, a business expert at Business Link, says relocation to an area with a growing sector can be beneficial for an entrepreneur or a small business owner.
Relocation depends on the product, service or skill set a business requires and Ms Joshi advised people to approach the regional development agency for an area they are considering in order to discuss their key areas and what skill sets are available within that region.
"[Firms] could approach the local regional development agency and they'll say what their key areas and what their skill sets are within that region.
"It does vary from region to region and if they are depending on what they're looking to set up in, I would advise them to actually look at the details in terms of contacting the regional development agency, because they will look at inward investment into that area as well."
Business Link is the government's multi-channel support service for business of all sizes, for all phases of growth, from startup to succession.
