BT invest in Dragons' Dens star
Dominic Killinger, a Dragon's Den contestant who gained investment from the show's business moguls, has sold a share of his business to BT.
Killinger wowed the Dragons with his wireless broadband internet services for yachts, which prompted Peter Jones and Theo Paphitis to part with £150,000 for an interest in his company, Square Mile Marina, the Guardian reports.
Commenting on the deal, Chris Bruce, general manager of BT Openzone, the provider's wi-fi service, revealed that the firm was delighted with the deal.
He told the publication: "BT has a strong affiliation with the sailing community through our support of Dame Ellen McArthur and the BT Global Challenge.
"As an extension of this commitment, BT is very excited about the opportunity to offer wi-fi services to the sailing community and we will be looking to expand this network in 2008," he added.
